Arnòr Dan posted a picture he took with Yoko Kanno and Keisuke “Tommy” Tominaga at the sundlaugin studio in Reykjavik earlier this year during the recording of the Terror in Resonance music.
The second Space☆Dandy O.S.T. is out today and Yoko Kanno wrote 3 tracks which are all quite different from each other.
Sci-Fi Palace is a piece of baroque music with harpsichords and organs. classique d’amour〜Ai no KURASHIKKU is also a piece of classical music but this time we have a triumphant orchestral track with strings and orchestral percussions and led by a trumpet. And Uchūsen wa MAHIMAHI no Yume o Miru is a Hawaiian casual and relaxed track.
No more episode today since the serie has already ended last week, but some news concerning the second album.
The cover will picture a crystal, that makes sense since the O.S.T. 2 is entitled crystallized (but we can read crystalized on the picture below…).
Like the first album, the cover of the first press limited edition will be composed of 3 transparent layers.
The tracklist of the second album of Space☆Dandy was announced and Yoko Kanno wrote 3 background tracks!
Disc 1 – 03 Sci-Fi Palace
Disc 2 – 04 classique d’amour〜愛のクラスィーク
[trans: respectively French and Japanese for “classical love”]
Disc 2 – 14 宇宙船はマヒマヒの夢をみる
(Uchūsen wa MAHIMAHI no yume o miru)
[trans: The spaceship sees dolphinfishes dreams]
This album release is scheduled for October 8, 2014.
The final episode of Terror of Resonance aired a few hours ago, using as expected bless in its ending credits.
It also featured birden in an incredibly moving scene, and an unreleased church choir track, perhaps the same track from the first serie trailer.
In total, I’ve counted 59 tracks with 18 from the first O.S.T..
Obviously, every unreleased track will not be released, but we can hope that out of these 41 unreleased tracks around 20 of them will be on the second O.S.T..
By the way, the second album tracklist is still unknown but they announced they will release a LP version of the album and they also published its cover:
